"I came back from Mekka a few days ago alhamdulillah. During my stay in Mekka and Medina I had to think of the Side Entrance project and also of that sheikh who tried to see what only women had to see in the mosque. And I truly wished some of the Saudis would do the same. 1 hour before Maghrib the security staff starts to throw the women from tawaf and from the 1st level of the Kaaba. I felt like sheep. The argumentation is: "The cameras could film women estaghfirullah."But worst of all is that there is only one little spot where the women’s prayer area is in front of the Kaaba. Here you can see what we saw. And all the other prayer areas for women are either in front of a wall or far away from the Kaaba behind men.
The situation in Medina is a lot worse. Yes, we have a beautiful area in the mescid which is still not enough for all hundreds of thousands women but the opening sessions and the little space for women are disgusting. All the umrahs I’ve been to my sisters cried and were very unhappy about the situation.
It’s the time you make your first step to the rauda and meet the Prophet PBUH. But it’s also the time where thousands of women run like cows to it and push and squeeze. And this happens in front of the Prophets’ grave. Such a shameful thing subhan Allah.
Men can always enter rauda and as I heard have a lot of space. It’s not crowded and they have a lot of time to stay in the rauda. These things show us the real situation of the ummah. May Allah help us changing ourselves and all the folks insha Allah.”
